Jedi/XTS speaker mic clip "loop"?
I really like the "d-clip" loop on the APX XE RSM, makes it easy to hang the mic over the antenna when not clipped to anything or sitting on a desk. Has anyone seen anything (aftermarket or otherwise) that can be adapted to the Jedi/XTS mic clip assembly? (besides a cheap piece of string).

Unfortunately, I have yet to find a really satisfactory solution. The best I could come up with was a D-ring that I slipped under the clip. You can then slide that over the antenna.
Edited to add: Like this, though I can't recall the exact size:

No -
But what you could do is buy the button mic clip and throw a regular D-ring from an old case on it - that should do the trick for you.
The button clip can be found here:

So I'm thinking that if the clip hinge pin can be removed from the existing assembly and replaced with a D-clip, that might be better?
Re: Jedi/XTS speaker mic clip "loop"?
Yeah, that would probably be the optimal solution. But I don't know how easy that would be.

Yeah...isn't that fantastic?
They're the only ones who make that aside from the FDNY. I suppose you could make one yourself but I'm not too sure how it would work out if it was actually used on a job/under stress.

I had that same clip ( in the link ), but I could kick myself now, because I traded the speaker mic it was on ( got the mic from Jim ) and didn't know how hard they would be to come by
