MCS2000 VHF software question

Post by radiocat37 »

I have an MCS2000 VHF M01KHN9PW5AN and cannot find the correct version of software. I thought I had all of them. I tried 5.04 DOS and when read it says: codeplug too new. I try windows 2.04 and when read it says: use newest version of DOS. What version does this thing need??
Brian Griffin: Ah, if my memory serves me, this is the physics department.
Chris Griffin: That would explain all the gravity.

Peter: No, I'm just exhausted because I've been up all night drinking.

What radios do you own?: XTS2500, XTS5000, and MTS2000

MCS2000 CPS last produced (and latest) CPS version for Windows is R02.03, circa 2008.
Not sure what 2.04 is.

Yep, ran into the same problem more then a year ago. Turns out the last DOS RSS is R05.07. I was able to download it free from some Canadian Motorola support site. Do not remember the site, but I just googled around a short time and found it.

Could this be an ex-CFA (VicFire) radio? The CFA units have "Made in EC" on the sticker and BNC instead of MPL socket (given the crap I had with my GM300s the other day I'm tempted to make ALL my Moto stuff BNC).
