Programming CDM1550LS UHF

Post by VSP5151 »

I have a high band CDM1550LS that gave me no trouble programming but I have a UHF one that I only want 4 conventional channels. Model
AAM25SHF9DP5ANI am not sure if I use Professional Radio R06.02.05 which is what I used for my high band radio or PPCPS 03.02.00. The first software says radio not supported. When I use PPCPS I get a message that PPCPS can not communicate with the radio. Please switch your radio to a passport zone or program an appropriate zone in Motorola CPS. What am I dong wrong? Thanks in advance for your help.

What radios do you own?: Mostly Motorola

The Passport CPS is for programming the Trident Microsystems Passport trunking card in the radio. You only need that software for programming that card.

My suspicion is that the software you have might be too old for the radio. The newest version I am seeing is R06.12.09. If the last person to program it used a newer software version than what you have, you will need to update. (yeah, it's a pain...)

Yep. If I remember correctly, you don't get the "codeplug too new for this application" warning box, it simply doesn't work.
