XTL5000 + O3 Control head

Hi there,

New to this board, and relatively new to the world of radios and Motorola codeplug programming!

I was hoping someone might be able to point me in the right direction. Our O3 control heads always have their backlights lit. I was able to go into the codeplug and add the Dim function for user selectable backlighting, but I was wondering if there was an option such that the backlight would turn off, and only come on when the mic was keyed, or one of the keys depressed, and then turn itself off after a period of inactivity.

No nothing like that. It only has the dim function which is super bright, bright and off. It has been sad many times they need more steps and less brighter.
