Impres charger internal primary voltage

Post by Solo »

Can anyone tell me what the primary voltage is after stepping down from 110VAC in an Impres charger?

I'm looking at mobile use, and it would be silly to start with a low DC voltage, invert to a high AC voltage, then step back down.

It would be helpful if you stated which Impres charger you are inquiring about.

We have converted many of the WPLN4111 single unit chargers to 12-volt operation. It was strait forward. The main Dc supply is around 13 Volts DC.

Why not just buy the impres-compatible 12VDC vehicular charger? Yes, I know it costs money... but it's a purpose-built device with a retention strap, mounting bracket, etc., rather than something you have to kluge together.
