If I remember correctly;

If it is a Syntor X that has an EPROM (only writeable once).

If it is a Syntor XX it has an EEPROM (eraseable & rewrittable)

This radio is a SYNTOR. Not a Syntor X

Syntor's require new programming proms each time you want to reprogram the radio.

Hey do you have a suitcase programmer? I have a Mx-350S (synthesized) that has one programming zone left in it. Id like to get it programmed, but cant find anybody with a suitcase programmmer. If your doin those old syntors then you gotta have one. Let me know
I tried to learn the game but the only thing i found incredible, was everything I tried to learn I already knew.

E-mail me direct. We have the R-1801 along with most other stand alone programmers. You will need a blank PROM for the frequencys and another for the PL if it has the multi-PL option.
