APX mobiles and portables.
Maybe one out of 45 radios we get a blue screen when we hit the write or clone.
CF-30 Panasonic tough book
Win 7
Clean install, Nothing but Motorola software.
12.00.00
Also the APX USB Setup Revision Number: 1.0.0.5
Programming cable USB
No worries now but what happens when we start flashing?
Anybody else?

Re: APX Blue screen when you write or clone.
Try updating your driver for the USB programming cable. If it's a clean install, run all of the Windows Updates. What's the Event Log showing you for the bluescreen details?

We can see the event but there is nothing logged
Re: APX Blue screen when you write or clone.
There should be something logged.
Also try %systemroot%\minidumps

Yes, They (Data techs) told us there was noting logged and they were trying to get a failure again. After sixty tries they are asking whats different on our desk. We have a Monitor, We have a USB hub with the mouse, key board, system keys. Now we have had blue screens with the cable on the hub and off. He has been running the cable straight off the computer for a long time.
We don't think the system keys are a problem because they are pre loaded. He does leave them in the hub sometimes.
We have the lap top back and took the hub and monitor out of the set up.
We don't think the monitor has anything to do with it either.
The HUB? Don't think so.
These blue screens occur on APX only. The same set up with XTL's and XTS's runs great.
We will see what happens.
When we are flashing ...
We stop everything. Run only one window. Turn off the network, No external mice. The only thing plugged into the laptop is the flash dongle.
We hit the upgrade radio and step back and watch from another room and shoot to kill anybody that tries to go in there.
No blue screens thank the gods.
We have made bricks. but not from blue screens. Mostly XTL 1500. Analog to digital. Hate the heads on those. Doing all flashes from the acc now.

USB Hub usually is a culprit. Do you not have enough USB ports?
