I am new to programming this type of radio so bear with me. After building the RIB to radio cable as per the diagram from Batlabs I plugged in and asked the software to read a codeplug. When it did so it turned the radio off. After this happened several times I thought the 9 volt in the RIB may be low. That was not the case. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for any help.

All I can say is to check the cable very carefully, as I built several from the diagram on BatLabs, and all work fine. BUT, I had to redo the first one a couple of times before I got it right.

Todd-thanks for the help. What I have is an adapter from the rib (25 pin) to an RJ45. Then I have a cat 5e cable from the adapter to the radio. Well when we made the adapter we made the pin out just like the diagram, not taking into account when you plug the cat 5e cable in it swaps pins 1 to 8. I rewired the adapter backwards from the diagram and read the radio with no problems. Thanks again for the advice-Ryan
