Programming Radio Mode Switch HT1000

Post by Lake Trader »

Hi, I hope I am in the right area for my question. Can someone explain the choices in programming the Mode Switch. On this screen must you choose just one set of parameters. For example if I choose "Scan/Ch.Opt Talkaround" the resultant Function Positions are shown below.

Position A Position B Position C
1. Ch opt Talkaround Repeat Repeat
2. Scan off Scan Off Scan ON

Can the functions for the different positions be changed in any way. or is this the only choice when "Scan/Ch. Opt Talkaround" has been chosen?

Hopefully I have made my quetion understandable. I have found progamming the old HT1k is more involved than I had thought.
Once I have figured this one out, I will move up to MT series and really be confused! Thanks for helping a beginner but everyone has to to start somewhere. Love these radios.

The combinations you see in the RSS are the only ones you can choose. No mix and match unfortunately.

Yeah, that's one of the short comings of the HT1000. You must accept the choices the RSS gives you. That's the nice thing about the MTS2000. You can mix any 3 functions on the switch. And these days, the MTS2000 is $10 more than a HT1000. And the MTS uses CPS which works on a Windows machine. Much easier to program. GARY
