Need schematic on quantro UHF power supply

Post by RTESTP25 »

I have a problem with the FPA power supply and circuit board is different than all the prints I have. It is a. TPN 1185B with circuit board TRN 7241B32. The battery charge and Eq switch do not change voltage on power supply output. If I disconnect power switch Q657 from C 601 the voltage goes up to 15.5. The supply handles load with that disconnected. The power transformer gets very hot with Q 657 connected. And voltage is only 13 volts with that connected. I need a print to trouble shoot as this board has 3 IC'S and is very different that prints I have. This board seems to have 4 SCR'S under metal screen.

I think the Quantro used a FPA and PS from an MSF5000. The TPN1185 sounds familiar. Some web searching for MSF5000 stuff should help.

A quick google search of "TPN1185B" yields this as the first result -- http://www.repeater-builder.com/motorol ... n1185b.pdf
