Saber III R, does it exists ?

Hi there,
Is there such thing as Saber III R ? I've seen I and II R's but I've never seen a III R. I think there is an Astro Saber III R. Ruhhhhhhhh......

Only ones around are either 1 or 2 R's never heard of such a thing

I dont think there is a Saber III R. If there is, I've never seen it.

No, there is not. Unfortunately, because would be pretty cool. The reason that I've heard for there being no such item is that they were never able to make a reliable pressure seal on a keypad the size of the one on a Saber III or the lower keypad on an Astro Saber III. I'm not exactly sure that I believe that, but that's what I heard from an engineer in Plantation.

I have seen a systems saber 3 r, however they fellow who had it said it was a beta unit and that it did not meet mil spec because of the keypad seal problem. He a few are floating around out there somewhere.

just buy a cheap DTMF dialer if you need to use tones...to bad there is no external way to directly enter zones or modes..Im sure there is a few IIIr's out there but im pretty sure they have either been home brew or made exclusively for the military or a large industrial comany with deep pockets to pay for the R&D (such as Oil company)
