I guess I did make the post a bit vague. I am wanting to upgrade my mtx8000 to mts2000 basicly to gain smartzone operation.

A MTS codeplug won't harm a MTX at all.

Just don't write to the MTS from lab.

Will you gain the ability to select Priority Monitor under scan type? Currently on my MTX, I can only select Conventional or Talk group.

Believe it or not, alot of the features that are in a MTS2000 that people clone codeplugs into MTX8000's are available to MTX radios without cloning. They are just turned off in the codeplug.

Oh yeah, just because you dump a MTS codeplug into an MTX doesn't make it an MTS. They are almost identical radios. The only things that the MTX lacks is: Flashport, Secure Capability and Current Firmware (something newer than V1.93, that's how old????) and you can't get any of that from a codeplug dump.

Send me an email and I'll send you a fun codeplug.
