Maxtrac and maratrac board swaps

I have a maxtrac with a maratrac logic board and I was told that with the lab rss I could blank the board and reprogram it as a maxtrac. When I try to blank the board it tells me that the radio is not programmed and cannot recover the serial bus. Is there something i need to do with this maratrac board?

You need to change the eprom to the Maxtrac eprom......
