gp300 vhf

I have a gp300 vhf currently set at 4 watts. Is there a way to make it five?

Well, you may be able to turn it up some more in the RSS but you should have a wattmeter handy when doing it. I would think you would also have to make sure your deviation and stuff is right as well. If you can't get over 4 watts out, I think there is a pot on the radio itself but I'm not sure about the GP300's. Maybe someone with knowledge of them can help. How is your battery?

what is the model number vhf come in either 2 or 5 watts you might have a low power gp300 and 4 would probably be all it would do

4 watt settings aer for UHF radios, what is this radios model number? does it begin with p94?

All the transmitter adjustments are in the RSS Service section. There is three power settings in the RSS, Low , Medium and HI.
Also there is a power setting on each channel
for Low, Med or Hi.
There is not any "pot" adjustments in the radio.
Make sure you have the correct antenna port adaptor connector and a good cable and wattmeter.
You can be thrown way off on power measurments with out it.
Most VHF GP300's will do 6 W or more on the correct test connections, unless it is a LPI version which should do three watts.
