Lo-cost wiring solution needed

Post by DJM »

I have two 16 channel GP300's that I want to use in my race car. Being a low bucks operation I don't want to layout $500+ for a car harness & antenna if I can put it together myself. Any and all ideas, schematics, leads appreciated. I'm located in Westchester NY.

How much have you spent on the race car? Why cut corners now? Haul it over to a shop and let them install it. Should run less than $100 to have the antenna installed. Unless you need MDC, sell the GP300's and get some HT600's and Converta coms to go with them, would be much easier to interface to a headset on the cheap than a GP300 at least in my opinion. Maybe someone has some used harnesses they could sell you or maybe Will or Monty could rig up something.

I'm not looking to cut any corners I would rather spend the extra money on mechanicals if possible. What I really need is a schematic of a helmet & car harness using an interface box and transformer and I could build it.
