I am interpeting that the lost words is on the end that is receiving. By any chance have you measured the TX deviation on the radio your having the problem with? If the deviation is set too high, loud voice peaks could be going out of the pass band of the receiver that is trying to listen to the transmission.

Simple test for this is to talk soft and see if it breaks up. Then talk real loud or give out with a long, loud, steady AAHHHHH. If it breaks up, you probably have the TX deviation set too high.

Hey, long time no see.

What I did was go into the CPS tuner, and let it so the automatic settings. That seemed to solve the problem.

As I don't work with them anymore, there may be a different work around. This was with firmware 3.00.01 I believe. I know some firmware upgrades addressed the problem

Is the tuner a separate cd or is it on the CPS? I have a factory cable.

The tuner was on the CPS CD, but I believe by default it is not installed at the same time as the RSS.

I had the RIBLESS cable, and everything worked well.

I got your email with the freq's, thanks! I may be back in the Durham area in a month or two.
