I received 6 MX1000 from one of our UK Locations and they were gracious enough to send the RSS as well. Now my question is can I use the Saber Cable & Standard Rib to Program these radios or will I royally screw them up?

are the two radios alike in any way?

Also what are the signalling options on these things can they do MDC?

Thanks,
Vince

Hi, i recently bought an MX3000 the euro version of the saber 3 and I also have a few MX1000'S and yes the saber cable is what you need, you will really enjoy the radios, mine is capable of 5 tone and a euro version of modat. Be careful about playing around with the personality file, these radios are real picky about having the original codeplug.

Any other questions just private message me.

Oh yea , You need stand alone MX RSS, and they do not do MDC.

Hi Vince! long time! If you have the UK RSS you should be able to use your rib & cable? But I never worked with a UK setup? Maybe wait for another post, or back-up what you have? happy holidays! 73's Ed PS: let me/us know how it turns out!
