upgrading 160 to 250 modes in mts2000

Post by amsmith592 »

I have a MTS2000 that I would like to upgrade the flash code to make 250 modes instead of the factory setting of 160. Is this some thing that the big "M" has to do or is it something that can be dome with my rss? I read a section on batlabs for doing the same thing with lab RSS and a mt2000. Hopefully you guys can help me out with this! Thanks=Andy

Well, kinda depends on the radio's controller revision. If you put it into test mode (power up, press side button above PTT 5-10 times) and get the revision (Rx.xx) then we might be able to help you more.

If the revision is 5.42 or higher, then you have to have the radio flashed for the upgrade. If it's 5.41 or lower, then you can dump a codeplug into the radio using labtools that already has that option and your radio will inherit the option too.
