Can MX300 series do DES/XL ?

Hi there,
Can the Motorola MX300 series do DES/XL or are they DES ?

The problem might be in finding a DES/XL module for the MX. Way back when I worked for the government, we switched from DVP to DES/XL. The Motorola rep told us that we would have to trash all our old radios, that DVP radios wouldn't work DES/XL. We used quite a few Micor repeaters and bases as well as MCX 100's by just replacing the DVP hybrid with a DES/XL hybrid. Motorola said it wouldn't work, but when we showed it to them they just shrugged and said it wasn't supposed to work. So, if you can find a DES/XL module for the MX, I think it would work.
