GM300 UHF to VHF

Is there a way to get a 16ch. Gm300 UHF and make it into a VHF radio. I have read the HEX info. and can't get it to work

No amount of HEX editing will change it!! The RF circuits are tuned to UHF and WILL NOT work at VHF. Best thing to do is sell the UHF and buy a VHF. I've got a VHF Radius just sitting around if you're interested.
