What radios do you own?: Radar Range

Post by JAYMZ »

I tried changing some information on one of my Sabers and when I went to program the radio it will start the process but then give that lovely error(YOU DUMMY!!!) type beep and tell me thet there was a "data collision in patch before 3". No idea what that means. I go by the dammit jim I'm a dipsatcher(misspelled on purpose) not a computer doc.

Hi:

What that is telling you is probably
you have a unstable computer platform,
or using a Clone Rib box, or perhaps
a poor cable.

Sometimes a Low Battery in a Rib Box
can cause this problem as well..

I would insure you are using a " Good" 386-486-25 series computer, using DOS 6.22 and
perferably a Factory Rib box, and a good
cable...

Make sure to " Save " any code plug data piror to reprogramming, and have a good radio
battery or DC source.

When I adddress Programming, I do not leave
" anything " to chance.

I use a Factory RLN4008E or SRIB, Factory
Power Supply, good Duracell Battery, T3200SXC
T4700CS series Computer, UPS, Regulated DC
Power Source for the Radio, and of course
a Factory program cable or a well made clone.
