flashing GP1200 MTS2000 MDC?

Good evening to you all!
I have a GP1200 UHF trunking radio, i know it is possible to flash it into a MT2100.
My question; is it possible to flash it into an MTS2000 with MDC, is the MDC part software or hardware?
Here in Holland the USA versions (MDC) are verry rare, i need a MDC radio to cancel the 1200 and 1800hz noise on a carier signal that the Highway Patrole is using.
