I have acquired a GM300 but the internal speaker's wires have been unsoldered and are missing. If someone can remove their GM300 head briefly and tell me which "pins" on the main terminal block should be wired to the speaker, I'd sure be appreciative.

Hi:

Make sure you have a GM300 first.

The Speaker wires in a GM300 run
from the Speaker to pins 5 & 6 of
P8.

P8 is outlined as:

Pin 1 VC top
Pin 2 VC Cont Wiper

Pin 3 Key Way ( so you can ID P8 is the one
which has a insert in the socket 3 positions from the outside.

Pin 4 Handset Audio
Pin 5 Int Speaker ( - )
Pin 6 Int Speaker ( + )
Pin 7 SW B+
Pin 8 B+
Pin 9 SCI +
Pin 10 PB1
Pin 11 PB2
Pin 12 GND
Pin 13 PTT
Pin 14 Mic Audio
Pin 15 Hook

Hope that helps.

The other Plug has a Plug in the keyway 5 positions from the side...

This was done to prevent a problem of mixing
up the plugs although Motorola did make it hard for one to make a mistake.

If you have a Maxtrac, the Speaker wires run
from the speaker and has a small 2 pin plug
that mates with a PC Board jack ( White ) and
its near the Acc'y connector in the rear of the radio.
