I have a public safety mic that I use for my HT600 and it has a stubby uhf antenna on it. I wante to use it on my MTX810, however, the connector is not a sma connector, it looks like a tnc connector? Anyone know what it is?

Let me rephrase that... I wanted to use the mic on my MTX810 and needed to change the antenna, but the antenna connector is not a sma, it looks like a tnc connector. The stubby 800mhz antenna has a sma connector on it? Anyone have any ideas on where to get an adapder or something?

Probably IS a TNC. Try Pasternack at http://www.pasternack.com.

The RF jack on the public safty speaker mic IS TNC (Female).
The 800 mhz radio might not work with the standard PS s/m due to the rf tuning in the mic.
Pick up a 1/4 wave 800 antenna with a TNC connector and try it out.
