Hi there,
Can two Sabers, one with DES and one with DES/XL module, talk to each other if loaded with the same KVL ?
I was under the impression it cannot but somehow I have a NTN4712 (DES) module and NTN5835 (DES/XL) but they do talk to each other.

really ??? i was told that they wouldn't talk to each other either !!! so i have a question . assuming the des-xl module is really a des/des-xl , does it seem to work better from the des radio to the des-xl in decripting the audio ???

They both sound the same in the small room. I thought you have to go distant to tell the range differences.

Unless I mistaken the part # on the casing, it is a DES talking to a DES/XL. In fact, the DES KVL won't load the DES/XL and I have to use a DES/XL KVL to load the code.
