94 Chevy pickup install ?

Anybody done any installs on a 94 Chevy pickup and have some pictures or tips they want to share. I'm not sure when Chevy changed the inside of the trucks but I'm sure this style was used for several years, so something from around 89 to 96 may work.

I can tell you if you install an antenna on the roof it is a double layer roof with about an 1" to 1 1/2" gap between layers.
Drill your hole from the top and feed the coax toward one of the rear pillars and let it drop down the pillar down towards the speaker.

That's about the best suggestion I have right now.

Looking at putting in an A9 Spectra VHF and 800 for starters. And wanting to get a dual band ham rig, but not sure which one I'm going to get. Maybe a UHF rig too. The truck has bucket seats so I have room, only thing on the floor is the 4x4 shifter. Just hoping somebody had some picture so I could get a good idea how I might want mine.

There are a few things that you could do... I had a 94 S10 Blazer, but with the electronic 4WD. Before I bought the console, I used a Galls 4 unit horizontal orgainzer between the dash and factory console, but that won't work for you.

I then upgraded to a Gamber Johnson console system. They actually have a setup for the S10/Blazer however its not listed. I think if you use their short top plate, it will work for you. Mine fit perfectly between the seats. I'll upload a pic when I get home.

Other than that, your going to need to take out the factory console and put somthing down there, as I don't think you want to string everything out under the dash.

Running wires sucked too, as there is not too much places to hide or run wires. However, since your is a pickup, all that space behind the seats should help. The biggest thing I was able to shove under a seat was slim power supply without getting caught up under seat stuff.
