Motorola PURC Question

In reference to a 75 watt UHF motorola purc station... Specifically the amp. What is an acceptable level input into the amp to drive it? I have a 75 watt amp from a micor purc and would like to put it into service on our 440 repeater using a low power M120 or GM300 as the exciter. Pipe dreams or reality? Thanks in advance!
DO NOT DRIVE THE MICOR PA WITH A GM300 !!
Doing so will be fatal to the PA.
Max Power ranges from 1/4 to 1/2 watt and
is controlled by the low level PA, which
in turns controls the Main Output.
If you must use some sort of GM300, you
might try and get a low power one, 1-10 Watts, or use some sort of Micowave Power
devider....Perhaps some others will make
some suggestions.

I see a lot of commercial shops add
attenuators to drop power on transmitters.
For ex. on underground radio systems here in Canada we can only use 1 watt radios.
I found that on a motorola 10 watt radio,
that you remove the pa unit and use the
exc.signal into a atten. works great and a lot is saved in costs.(When bidding for a job.)

Thanks for getting back to me on this. Sorry that my reply is a few weeks off. between the board being down and being out of town with work, i've been keeping busy.
The reason why i had the hair brained idea to build a hybrid Micor was to avoid having to get crystals. We have several modbiles available to us and am starting to get a few uhf PA's and even a couple full blown micor setups. We want to build a linked system uhf and possibly crossband out to 900 as well. Not knowing what specific frequencies and wanting the flexibility to chnage was a driving factor. Call us ham guy's crazy!
Any suggestions on controllers? PC versus standalone?
