spectra d45 mid power

why if i have the sepctra d45 i have the same area to ptt from my mts-2000 i suppost the mts-2000 portable have 3 watts in 800 in trunked system this gave me a "xx" distance to the site, ok.. the movil spectra in theory gave me more area to ptt, the spectra have 45 watts, exist a problem in the programacion or menu enable, or really the power from the radio work in and conventional and direct ftom base to radio...i think what are the finally...

He mite by trying to say: The Spectra in the trunking mode does not transmitt at full power if it thinks it is in range, then it uses the "low power" setting. I had some issues with this on a couple of fleets of 900 Spectras high power and had to set both HI and Low power to the full 37 watts. Then the Talkarround worked much better too.
