Turn signal removal on 1997 F250?

Post by Pj »

Ok, all my installs were going well until I hit this snag. Just how the hell do you take about that turn signal assembly on a F250 Super duty pickup? Looks like at least one screw is behind a hole bunch of sheet metal and next to impossible to get to.

Any ideals/tips? I gotta put hideaways in the front and corner turn signals.

There should be 2 screws between the light and bumper. After you take out those 2 screws it just pops out.

Nope. Newer Fords are that way...two screws then they pull straight out...this one looks like is bolted from behind the lights...just not sure how I am going to get at them.

There are two bolts behind the lights. Just beneath the headlight part. It should be the same as any F-series of that time.

We had half the front end taken about. Big time pain in the ass. Ended up drilling a hole at the bottom of the housing in about 2 inches of space available. Not my ideal location, but seems to work just as good. Amber hideaways in the headlights look fairly nice too. A little washed out, but not bad.
