Post by Motoman221 »

Hello I am looking for some install pics in Doge Durango. I will be putting the following equipment into a vehicle still undecided:
CDM 1550 LB
CDM 1550 VHF
Light Controls

Grille Lights Tomar 3x4
Mini Bar Code 3 mini MX7000
Dash Light:Tomar TLED LED light
Maybe Rear View Mirror Lights
and after seeing Alexs install a
911ep TD28 (is this the best model for this vehicle)
Any other thoughts or ideas would be great

Hey,

Wish I could add some useful insight...I can't. I have a 98 and have mode a homebuilt mount that will do 2 mobiles (right under the dash) but can't find any consoles that will work. Problem is I have the rear heat/AC option which runs ducting under the factory console - PROBLEM!

I know some have removed this entirely, but I'd rather not. The rear heat is required in the Great White North.

Please share your findings.
Cheers,
Darcy

rcit, Here's a couple I did,

It's a Havis-Shields console. Very solid and is open on both ends to
duct the heat to the rear.

Looks pretty SWEET! Though for some reason the console looks exceptionaly (sp?) wide...more so than my truck seems like it would ft.

I'll download the catalog and see what I can find. I am trying to imagine how it will fit over the ducting to mount. Sucks having to order something to find it won't fit

It is somewhat wide, and high. The officers that have them like them. They were skeptical of the size, but now say they are comfortable with them. The ducting stops ahead of the console, and ideally you could box the bottom half to keep from losing the air upward. Both front and rear plates have about a 3" high by 12" wide opening at the very bottom.
