Hello-
If I were to purchase a ruggedized case for my standard Saber II, would it fit? Also, if I did manage to get it on, would it be effective in actually making my Saber more durable?

Hi:

So long as you stay within
your series of radio, Saber vs SystemSaber
ect, yes you can exchange cases without any
problems.

However, be prepared as Rugged Housing
Parts and Acc'y can be expensive....And
while they will give your radio more protection, they are in fact pretty bulky.

Great if you are in a Fire Depeartment
