Does a saber I have just 12 CH's.
How many CH's on a saber II.
Are the saber II and III the ones with the displays

Thanks

The Saber i is 12 channels (except for the 1E, which can support two zones for 24)

The Saber II & III both do 120 channels (10 banks of 12).

Both the II and III have displays. The II has three buttons under the display, while the III has the three buttons plus the full numeric keypad.

Hello RaceMedic,

In addition to what HumHead said in the previous post.......

There are Saber II versions out there which only allow a maximum of 4 Zones with 48 as a Total number of Channels.
If the Scan is enabled in this version it reduces the total number of channels to 36 in 3 Zones.

The difference between the 120 Channel and the 48 Channel is the smaller memory display board(2K instead of an 8K).

So, if a large Channel Capacity is important to you.... be sure on that specification.

There is also the System Saber which has Zones of 16 Channels and supports trunking. I am only vaguely familiar with the Systems Saber but the Systems Saber III could be easily mistaken for the Saber III at first glance.

Also you will want to be concerned with what BandSplit (freq. range) the Saber is. You can read the RSS but you really need to look at the modules inside to positively confirm this unless you have a history on its usage.

Good Luck,

Ed
