Anyone ever have any luck programming and getting a Maxtrac to receive down around say 810 or so?

I've got a boatload of 800 Maxtracs and was thinking of trying to make a portable conventional repeater out of a couple.

I took a file and was able to plug 810 into the receive by scrolling down, but haven't tried it in an actual radio. The only information I can find is on VHF/UHF repeaters, nothing on 800.

Anyone ever had any sucess with this?

Hi:

let us know the model number
of the radios you have...you
might also mention if they have
the 16 pin logic board and if they
are masked or not.

Depending on the hardware, it may
be possible.

Email me direct for additional
information

I sent you an email, I'm going to post this here for others.

I have both types of Maxtrac's with and without the 16 pin connectors. All of them are capable of both trunked and conventional.
