Rumor XTS5000's recalled?

Hi:

Did not think my evluation was all that
poor ! Was informed through a close
source in Florida that the XTS5000's
were recalled?

Anyone else herd the same info?

Yes as a matter of fact they were all recalled. Reason - while on scan and when the radio would stop on a channel, it would auto-affiliate. Once it started scanning again, it would affiliate again. Not a bad feature, until you get 200 of them out there scanning. . . . . . . . .

DOH!! And I just received 5 of them for programming today! Haven't even loaded the CPS for them yet....

Does this mean that the Phx switch to digital 800MHz could possibly be delayed even MORE??? Ed- has MCSO had any problems like this with their XTS's

Don't know about Phoenix.
The problem doesn't exsist in the 3000's only in the 5000's. I don't think MCSO had any 5000's out in the field yet.
