How long does it usually take to charge an mts2000 with the fat battery?
I have a drop in desktop charger with just the one LED on it. Does it turn green when its done or stay red?
Thanks,

The led is always red.

10-11 hours for a full charge for the 7144 battery.

They tell you 16 hrs. in the manual for that charger. Is 10-11 hrs. doing the trick ?

Mt1000 or P200/Ht600 charger NO.

In the Jedi charger, a "Fat" battery requires 16 to 20 hrs in the slow charger.
In the dual rate charger, red and green single led and the big transformer with a cord to the ac plug, it takes about 1.5 to 1.8 hours to go "Complete" green led. When it goes "Complete", you need to leave the battery in for about another hour or so for a FULL charge. But do NOT leave the battery in the rapid/dual rete charger for more than three hours or the battery can be overcharged.

There is a minor feild modification for the single rate charger to increase the charge curent to 150 miliamps (from 110 ma) for use with the Fat battery, 1500 MAH.
