I have to program 25 MT2000 UHF portables and have a question about it. I have programmed one exactly the way we want all of them to be. If I clone that radio to another will it also copy the radio ID # too?? I am hoping that it would leave the ID # as is and copy everything else.

Let me know if you have had bad or good experiences doing this or have any suggestions.

Thanks
Chris

When you clone the radio, it will NOT clone the MDC ID. The screen will give you the option to enter the MDC ID you want the cloned radio to have. Everything else clones over.

Motorola thought about that...I am really surprised.

Yes, MTSX allows you to assign different IDs to each cloned radio.

Just checked it again to be sure and yes you can set the MDC ID on the clone screen.
