1999 F-150 Install Ideas

Post by ANB_Medic »

Looking to install 2 MCS-2000's in my F-150. One model I and one Model II. Also looking to go cheap but good looking at the same time. I'd rather stay away from a console as I like the room on the floor.

Any ideas? Pics would be great!

If you have (or can get) the remote mounting kit for the radio's, you might consider mounting just the control heads over the visor using a visor shelf.

I have an overhead (centered between the visors) model III control head in my Windstar, and I like it a lot.

Personally, I think it's safer to look at my radio 2" above my rear view mirror as opposed to down by the ashtray.

I though about going that route, but I've never seen a headliner shelf in an F-150. It doesn't look like there'd be much head room left. I could slip the model I into the bottom (or top) half of the stereo slot with some modification, but that only solves half of my problem.
