CVPI, market prices?

Post by mavericknet »

Hey guys, figured you would know if anybody, what's the going market price for a 2004 Crown Victoria Police Interceptor? (I don't want to start an Impala/CVPI flamewar, just a price) If anybody has a trusted supplier they'd like to see get more business drop me a PM.

Well .. If you can find one . They can not be sold NEW to the general public. To order one the buyer has to have a fleet # from Ford to place the order. If a dealer does it anyway they can get themselves in a bind.

The only way is to find one that was refused by a department because of a order problem or over stock. Sometimes they are damaged in shipping and repaired and then sold as " used"

http://WWW.KCpolicecars.com sometimes has them but expect to pay top $$

Here is one http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... 15433&rd=1

New?

20-24k, depending on dealer and options installed.

Used?

That ebay auction says it all, but as they get miles on them you'd be looking at 10-15k for a 60,000 mile car and it goes down from there.

At this point either a 2003 or 2004 is a good choice, but 2004 is finally up to 250 hp and would be my choice. A buddy of mine just bought his 4th CVPI from kcpolicecars, and I've bought a caprice from there...no issues other than his price usually starts too high.

This latest vic from there is a 2003 with 6x,000 miles which is used has my buddy's EMS responder car...a perfect second life for the squad.
Do not make Sig angry...he'll just keep ringing the bell.

They have 4 "new old stock" ones on there right now, with 10 miles and factory warranty for $24,995 FWIW

Not for me

Post by mavericknet »

Whoops, guess I should've clarified... It's not for me.
.
I've got an EMS department that found a CVPI for 20,995 delivered, and they asked if I knew if that was the cheapest. It's from a ford dealer selling CVPIs and SS Explorer/Expeditions. The place is also offering $1900 conversions (including lightbar and choice of strobes) I was a little shaky looking at the installation, but a ford car is a ford car and for the price it ain't bad.

If its for a department You can get it on a state bid. $20K is about normal.. $1900 for an install. You get what you pay for..
