O/T: Whelen info needed

Post by kf4sqb »

I hope some here recognizes this thing. Whelen's website is no help at all. What I have is a Whelen strobe power supply from an ambulance. It has an aluminum frame, and plug-in modules. The first module is a "System Fourteen" "Master Sequencer", and the rest are "System 14S" "Dual Power Supply Strobe II". I don't have any pictures of this animal right now, and it could be quite a while before I can get any of it if anyone wants to see any. I will also have to have someone else host the pictures for me if I post any. Thanks!

What radios do you own?: Radar Range

Probably better meant for the Vehicle area...

But, Sounds like you have the modules for control of a ambulance lighting system that Road Rescue, Braun, and Horton were good for. Basically, when put together properly it was a really nice load manager. Would power on all your lights in a specific sequence and power off in a specific sequence. This was done to prevent a large spike in draw on the system. If I remember correctly it was somewhat of a programmable system.

What radios do you own?: X9000 thru APX

Yup..Those are part of the ambulance lightning systems. I think most of those were back in the double flash days, and they don't put the install stuff on the website as those were OEM installed products.

If you call tech support, they should be able to fax you all the info as long as you have the part/model numbers.
