OT/ need help from a mechanic

hello, hello, i am hoping you can help me out. i need information for a project i am doing, which involves GM vehicles. i need anyone who is a mechanic or has been a mechanic to answer a few questions for me.
please email responses back to me, answering as many questions as possible. and state your name and where you worked or work. i wont be using it, but my teacher needs it for verification so he knows i didnt make it up.

1. approximately what is the base salary for an automobile mechanic.

2. what are the overall, best conditions for your mechanics to work in(heated bays) etc.

3. which jobs usually pay more, collsion or engine repair.

4. is it important for workers to be friendly to each other (if so why)

5. do you prefer to work independently or with another person

6 how long does a typical job usually take.

7. what is usually the base repair rate(per hour), and by Job

9.do you have workers, if so do the workers get health insurance, paid vacations or any other benefits?
