Cure for a farting HT1000?

Post by GP-38 »

Hey all. At work, one of the conductors HT1000's tends to transmit flatulent sounds along with his voice. I recently realized it's usually during colder nights, too. It's getting shopped, but I'm curious as to what could cause this.

Sounds like a mic element. I've had a couple of HT1000s lately that I've replaced the front panel on due to low/distorted/etc. audio at times resulting from a bad mic element or associated flex. I don't like working with flex, so I replace the whole front panel - easier that way.
