mtsx rss programming question

Post by amsmith592 »

I have a question concerning the programming of a mts2000. I currently have a radio that I would like to clone.(it has a updated template). When I go to clone it to another radio it says the codeplug does not match the current codeplug. Both radios are exactly the same model# and I understand the codeplug/template is different in the two radios but is there a quick way around this clone feature so I dont have to write a new codeplug? Just would like some help if anyone has time.

Although they both may have the same model number they may have different flashcode features which will keep a clone from happening.

This is where the new CPS can really save you some time.

You just open two CPS sessions, read the template radio into one of them, and then drag the entire codeplug from that session and drop it into the second session.

Almost everything transfers [obviously features not supported by the target radio's flashcode don't]

Then you use the CPS drag and drop report to tell you what you need to look at to finish the job.
