syntor 9000 transmit problems

syntor 9000 transmit problems

i have a 110 watt syntor 9000 ,it shows 100 watts on watt meter but i dont have any tx audio.any ideas on where to start trouble shooting?i have tried another mic.but it does not work.

If you have it plugged into the RIB box via the programming cable, you will not have any Tx audio. If that is not it, do you have PL encode (assuming it is programmed for it)?

no it is hooked up in my car. it will key all our public saftey repeaters but there is no audio.

You can check for the MIC DC on the red mic lead inside the mic. That will prove if the head has maybe a jumper missing,

There should be about 9VDC there and it should drop to 4 to 6VDC with the PTT button pressed.

it worked previously, i have had it for sevral years it has a 1036e head
