Hi all,

I'm about to "install" 3-4 (probably 3) TIR3s in the rear window of my truck, and I need a simple switch box to control everything.

I'm looking for something basic - I need one on/off switch, and I wouldn't mind having 2 momentary switches to control the flash patterns.

Any suggestions?

Something like this is what I'm looking for, but with 3 switches, more compact, and without the uber-insane $80 price tag:

I have a little switchbox that would be absolutely perfect for you. Well I did.. I used to.

One power switch and one momentary on a bracket. $20 new at http://www.rimindustries.com

I think I sold the one I had. =/

And do you know how many amps it is rated for, just out of curiousity? (The little 2-switcher)

Most automotive switches are for 15-20 amps but of course it's up to the user to add his own fuses.

probably a really bad way of saying that the switch can turn on 2, 4 or 6 outlet strobe packs.

often seen with idiots selling electronics to idiots and then marking the hell up on the cheap 2 dollar switch.

I think Kit is referring to AW the tow truck supply house. I get their catalogs sometimes. They have some neat stuff, but most of it is overpriced. They have a website at http://www.awdirect.com.

GOOD OL RADIO SHACK CAN HELP
IF YOU DONT MIND A LITTLE BUILDING, YOU CAN GET ANY NUMBER OF 12V 30 AMP LIGHTED SWITCH FOR ABOUT 4 BUCKS EACH AND A SIMPLE PROJECT BOX. THE SWITCH I NORMALLY USE IS A BLACK ROUND SHAPED SWITCH WITH THE TINY LED IN THE TOP OF IT THAT LIGHTS UP RED, OR YOU CAN BUY ONE WITH GREEN LED. YOU JUST DRILL A 3\4 INCH HOLE TO INSTALL AND FUSE AND INSTALL YOU ITEM YOU NEED TO POWER UP. :D

From my own experience, Radio Shack doesn't have any automotive grade switches.
