Corner strobes & Wig-Wags on a '05 Chevy 2500HD?

Post by nmfire10 »

On a '05 Chevy 2500HD, the headlight assembly doesn't seem to have much angled to the side. Is there a spot in there where I can put a hideaway strobe that will sweep to the sides at all? This would only be for plowing, it almost seems like putting regular PAR36 strobes on the plow frame would sweep out to the sides better. Any ideas?

Also, are wig-wags possible on this truck? It has the whole automatic headlight and DRL thing. If the DRL's were to no longer function, that would not be a big deal.

Me: "What exactly is a 900Mhz UHF CB?"
Them: "A very nice CB at 900Mhz speed!"

Hey man, I just installed a whellen 6 strobe 90 watt hide away kit into my tahoe. As long as there is 1/2 - 1 inch between the light and the plastic you are good. I went of the corner of the lenses which has no light but has great warning power for intersections or side warning. I am going to post some pics, but haven't had a chance yet. At the rear, try and get closest to the other light as far the center of the reflector. Just ask if you have questions... Ohhh, be carefull drilling the 1" hole into the reflector, it's very delicate, you have to go straight on or it will crack. Let me know, Scott
