NYPD-- looks great, very neat indeed!

What else is installed in your ride and what does the ss2000 control? Any radios?

right now i have a whelen 90 watt hideaway stobe system with 4 clear strobes ( 2 in the front corners and 2 in the rear corners ) i have a sho-me led dual dash light in red/red above the mirror... im changing this soon for a red/red dual talon .... in the gril i have 2 sho-me led strips in red / red ...in which im chanhing out for (4) tir 3's doing red / white red / white ... i also have a fast headlight flasher in the high beams.. and i have a rear single talon in green below my brake light... .. im not sure if those are going to be the exact changes yet..but thats what im planning..

i also need a vhf mobile in there...but i havent decided with what model to go with..... uhf would be nice too..but its not necessary b/c i have a handheld already..but since of the vhf channels i use doesnt have a repeater..a mobile would be great...

that is actually a piece of abs plastic that i use to make custom installs with.. since most of my customers are volunteers and use personal cars to respond..they like to keep it low key... also so thieves cant see your stuff.. the tan piece is made out of the same material but sprayed to match... and i painted the black b/c i didnt like the original black the abs comes in...

they broke into my truck last week..and they didnt see the siren...lol but took other things...

now i got a new clifford two-way alarm with remote start to replace the factory remote start alarm i have... i also connected it to my stobes... and wig wags..thru my ss2000... when the alarm goes off... the wig wags strobes and my ss2000 manual wail tone will go off..along with the alarm siren itself... its sick..u cant go near it... i also changed the rear led's when i was in there..from single green talon to 2 red/blue slimlighters... new pics will be coming soon... and maybe a video of my alarm in action if i can find a place to host it..

About the colors of the lights you have

Post by Scannerbuff922 »

I would like to ask why you have everything so backwards in ur vehicle, the green is suppose to go up front or may i say facing front and red to the rear, Are u in the EMS, Also do you have any videos of the red/blue slimlighters or pictures of them i would love to see them in action.

What do you see wrong with that statement?

Sort of a late reply (among all the other ones), but how did you hook up the Smart Siren to the security system?

TAP-II functions... you'd normally have it hooked to the horn ring. instead of +12V from the horn ring, you get +12V from alarm output...

I'm assuming of course.. but thats how I did mine...

But once you do that, you'll loose the ability to use your regular car horn ring button to activate the Air Horn... So you have a choice. Air Horn on the Horn Ring, or Car Alarm.

you can use a diode, and you can choose which one to use, either airhorn, or siren......

all of the newer siren controls have a switch on the front of the siren, that allows you to change between airhorn and siren....

Nothing a diode or two and a DPDT switch can't fix.

Sorry guys, i am not trying to be the Police Light person hear, all i was asking is why would he have red in front and green in back, especially when he is living in NY because green is for EMS. Just wondering, sorry for all who think i was saying something, but i was just asking, There's nothing wrong about asking, But no other people have no respect for other people such as a few of the members in here. Also do i go around to your posts and say crap no not at all so there. About spelling Hudson Valley i was in a rush ok, Thnxx
