console installation help

Post by lunzac »

hey guys
im trying to install a troy products console into my 2000 F150. because i have a bench seat truck, i have to drill my own holes and secure the console right to the tranny hump. just wanted to get some pointers on how/ where to drill on the tranny hump and what type/ size screws to use before i go drilling.

any insight would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

Hmm, this is a tricky install. Get up under the truck and INSURE proper clearance. I would use self-tapping 3/4" length, 'Tech Screws', sheet metal screws. These are generally long enough to secure and short enough to clear. As always, "Measure Twice, Drill Once."
