remote start with radio
Looking for info on trying to get my radio to remote start my truck. I have come across people talking about this on some post awhile ago. Any info or a place to start looking would be great.

- What radios do you own?: APX6000, XTS5000, Astro Saber
You'll need a remote starter with an auxillary input. Usually, you ground the aux input and it will start the vehicle. You program your radios external alarm pin to go to ground upon recieving a call alert. Program it is for momentary and maybe about 3 seconds. Connect the radio's external alarm to the remote starter's aux input.
Now, when your radio receives a call alert, the external alarm goes to ground and the truck starts.

Me: "What exactly is a 900Mhz UHF CB?"
Them: "A very nice CB at 900Mhz speed!"

I'm using a CDM so I can override the ignition sense with the power button. Don't know anything about making a spectra work like that though.
