05 Chevrolet Truck Fender Mount Bracket???
I have a 05 Chevrolet Truck that needs a fender mount antenna put on it. In the past I used a bracket that was specially made to mount a cb antenna to a chev. truck that used the bolts on the drivers side hood bracket and placed the antenna just behind the hood in the fender well slot. I have lost the info on this bracket and need to know who makes them for this specific application. the bracket looked like a l bracket with a long crooked piece of metal with 2 holes that would line up with hood hinge bolt pattern. Thanks

For this install i will go straight to the battery (110W radio) i used one of these mount brackets last year on a new Chev. truck and they worked really sweet. They were designed for a cb antenna, and came with a stud antenna mount already on it. I just unscrewed the stud mount and installed a 3/8 hole NMO mount and away we went. I'm still digging for the receipt were i bought it, if i find it i will let you know.

Mikey, Are you going to drill a hole in the firewall and if so where? I am planning on installing a 100 watt X9K. and a 45 watt Spectra. Thanks

Are you sure you want a 110 watt transmitting antenna in line with your face through the windshield?Mikey wrote:For this install i will go straight to the battery (110W radio) i used one of these mount brackets last year on a new Chev. truck and they worked really sweet. Actually Pro-Fit (cell phone bracket makers) have front fender brackets for 00-05 trucks and other vehicle makers. Stainless steel and mount to existing holes and they look way bettery than the bracket shown above.
Tessco has them in stock, found them today while browsing for other stuff.
