GMRS maximum power 50 watts....before or after duplexer?

Quick question

Is the 50 watt maximum measured out of the PA or can it be measured after the duplexer?

As far as I know, it is out of the radio. ERP then takes into account everything between the radio and the air.

50 Watts, out of the transmitter; that means before duplexer, before isolator, before transmission line, etc.

Subpart E_Technical Regulations

Sec. 95.639 Maximum transmitter power.

(a) No GMRS transmitter, under any condition of modulation, shall
exceed:
(1) 50 W Carrier power (average TP during one unmodulated RF cycle)
when transmitting emission type A1D, F1D, G1D, A3E, F3E or G3E.

I would think that the FCC would regulate Part 95 the same as the other parts and require that be maximum power at the antenna... significant losses can occur in the feedline and duplexors.
